Rikkami had woken up rather early that morning, excited for her departure to the United republic of nations, and meticulously organized her belongings that she would be taking with her to the big city. She could only go through her belongings so many times before the task got boring. Rakka had yet to wake up so Rikka had to find ways to occupy herself. Their boat didn't leave until after dinner time anyway.
Rikka then decided to take a bath, trying to kills me time until Rakka woke up. She finished her bath and then wrapped her chest, more out of habit than necessity now as women were allowed to practice waterbending. She finished getting all her gear together, poked her head into Rakka's room, frowned as little as he was still asleep, and then grabbed her bag and walked out to the boats.
She stood there, watching the various shipments come in, and the fisherman getting ready for the day at sea, as well as traders getting shops ready. With the war over, the northern tribe had gotten a few more visitors than they used to,though not too much more. Their sister tribe to the south visited more often than people from other nations.

The sound of the door slamming roused Rakka from his sleep. He yawned, finally ready to start his day now that the house was otherwise empty.
Rakka went through his morning routine, then double checked his bags to make sure nothing was missing. He had a few changes of clothing, the Earth Kingdom coins he'd converted most of his savings to, a couple water skins, some provisions, and a few books to occupy himself with during some of the less interesting legs of their journey.
He'd already said his goodbyes to most of his friends and acquaintances earlier in the week. While one or two of them might decide to see him off, he didn't really care too much one way or another—he'd already made his peace with them.
He'd miss this place, probably. He never felt particularly attached to his home, but he was fairly certain that when he was away from this place he'd find things he didn't realize he'd liked until confronted with their absence. This would be his last chance to take in the city for a long time and he didn't want to squander it.
Knowing his sister, however, she couldn't wait to be out of here. Her eyes were probably too fixed on the future to think to get one last look at the past. He was sure she'd miss this place too, to some degree, and he didn't want her to have any lingering regrets.
He headed to the docks, certain that his sister would be there, too excited by their journey to look back on their home. He quietly approached her from behind and said without a hint of any enthusiasm, "Only my sister would try to waste her last day in town before a long boat voyage staring at boats."

"Well they're just so fascinating aren't they?" Rikka points to a fire nation ship that had just dropped anchor and was getting ready to unload some supplies they were giving to the Water tribe. Aang and Fire Lord Zuko were doing whatever they could to promote peace among the nations and encouraged them to work together to make improvnents in technology. The fire navy ships always seemed so terrifying before but for some reason, now that the war was over, they seemed so interesting now.
Rikka ran off towards the bow of the ship and watched with enthusiasm as the bow became a boarding ramp. Workers began to unload various boxes with the fire nation insignia on it. A local shop keeper was talking to a man who was overseeing the boxes being unloaded, signing a piece of paper she could only assume was an order slip of some kind. "What uf we were to just sneak onti this ship and go now?"
