Finn refused to work underneath his brother and joined the military with the intention of joining the Military Police. During boot camp, however, Finn grew an appreciation for the ODM gear and combat. He also realized there was some disdain against the Military Police and they had questionable honor. Finn changed his mind about joining the Military Police and instead joined the Survey Corps.
