During his teens, he fought for the Confederacy in the Guild Wars. After the Confederacy won, he decided he'd had enough, so he faked his suicide and hid out on the backwater planet of Mar Sara. That didn't end so well. When the Zerg overran the planet, he fought beside The Magistrate's men, and he's stuck with 'em ever since.
